The challenge

The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH) invited Cognitas Global to create an immersive crisis management exercise for industry professionals attending the 6th Saudi Global Conference for Occupational Safety and Health 2024 in Riyadh. The exercise aimed to evaluate decision-making skills related to handling a critical occupational safety and health (OSH) incident. The challenge was to deliver the exercise in both English and Arabic to the participants during two workshops.

Our solution

Cognitas Global developed a two-hour immersive exercise on the view360global multilingual platform for multinational participants. The exercise simulated a serious construction site accident that resulted in injuries and an external OSH investigation, challenging participants’ critical thinking in immediate action, prevention, resource management, policy and leadership. All immersive exercise media, including videos, were produced in Arabic and English.

The results

The immersive exercise engaged 60 participants, divided into groups of five, across two sessions. Analysis of their decision-making revealed the exercise successfully achieved its learning objectives. Moreover, the collaborative environment fostered the generation of additional valuable insights and measures, leading to a series of actionable recommendations. Participants praised the view360global platform for its effectiveness in delivering this style of training, as evidenced by consistently high engagement levels throughout the sessions.
